5 Tips to Making More Money on LTK

If you’re asking yourself the question “How much money can I actually make on Like to Know it?” then this post is for you! Today we’re talking about tips for making more money on LTK.

We’re going to cut right to the chase and assume you’ve already read “What LTK is and How Does it Work.” Here you’ll find five actionable steps you can take to grow your LTK affiliate income and become a full time content creator. I can assure you the top LTK influencers are all doing these five things to drive more revenue and brand awareness.

1. Optimizing SEO in your LTK Post Caption

LTK works like a search engine for users ready to shop. Which means it’s important for your post to come up first when users search its topic.  Simply listing your sizes and a cute emoji isn’t going to do anything for getting your content out there. Make sure to include lots of keywords in your description describing your review of the product, how it might benefit the buyer, and why you love it! I try to always include these three things in client LTK posts – sizing information if relevant, keywords organically sprinkled into full sentences (ex. beach house decor, amazon teacher outfits, cozy living room, loungewear set, midsize date night, etc.), and 3 relevant hashtags from the pre populated list.

2. Use the Scheduling Feature

Just like any other online or social media platform, consistency is key. It does NOT help to upload 5 images at once and then call it quits for the week. My suggestion is to start with a goal of posting once per day. About once a week I’ll login to a client’s like to know it creator app and batch schedule posts to go live every day of the week. See the difference? You can still just login once a week but instead of posting several posts at once, just schedule them out to go live slowly over time.

3. Share your LTK posts on other social media platforms such as Pinterest, Instagram, or a Blog Post

If you want to make more money on LTK, you need to be promoting your posts outside of the app. While I do see some sales from LTK exclusive content, I truly believe promoting it on Instagram, your blog, or wherever else your viewers live is going to bring the best results. LTK links are great to include in weekly newsletters, too.

4. Post a Wide Variety of Content Types

What we’re not saying here is to dabble in every niche. What we ARE saying is to take your niche and create a variety of different content forms with it. This includes product collages/round-ups, styled photos of you/your home, selfies, and product photos. I see a lot of new creators creating tons and tons of collages and while I’m not saying those aren’t good (it’s literally my job to create them!) it can’t be the only thing on a LTK profile. We need to see the person and face behind the screen!

I’d argue you shouldn’t have more than half of your content in collage/product photos. Preferably, no more than a third. Followers want to see an actual person behind the account so whether it’s just a picture of a recently styled area of your home or a dressing room try-on selfie at Target, they are important in creating that connection and trust with your followers. Trust me, you’ll make more money on LTK if you mix up your content types.

5. Utilize LTK Creator App Resources

In the creator LTK app there is a goldmine of information to help you make more money. One of my favorite sections is the “Shoppers are Searching For” which then outlines 10 trending keywords. They change them as trends change so they are up to date and pretty darn accurate. This is a great place to draw inspiration from on what kind of content you should be creating. For example, at the time of this post a few of the listed keywords are country concert, teacher outfit, wedding guest, and back to school. It’s mid August, so it makes total sense these topics are trending.

You can also utilize the “Deals you’ll want to share” element which gives you a rundown of what’s on sale for the week! For example, at the time of writing this post VICI is running a 25% sitewide sale. So, if I was a fashion blogger who shopped at VICI, I’d go to my closet and make sure to wear something from VICI this week. It’s also a great time to link other VICI favorites in your LTK post and include in your caption that you’ll be sharing some other VICI New Arrival favorites.

Remember that growing your affiliate income takes time and consistency is key. Don’t put all of your eggs in the LTK basket, but do mix it in when appropriate.
